Well, that has been happening to me and I have bee wondering why. I mean there was no was a no reply blogger. I knew I had set it to show email. That was until I changed my blogger profile to google+ profile and I don't think I would have known if I hadn't been trying to see if people get emailed when you reply on their comments. I don't know if this has happened to everyone who switched or just a few, but if I were you I would check by commenting on your own blog and see if the email you get has your email address or if it is suddenly no reply.
I have searched everywhere to find out enable the google+ profile to all you to change it from no reply, but there doesn't seem to be away, the closest answer I have found is on the blogger help page: where is says it might be for security reasons, not to expect that any time soon and the comment will forward onto blogger support. So I put my two cents and and I suggest you do to if you want that to get changed.
However, in the mean time I am switching back to my blogger profile. Which means I lose some of the functions of the google+ profile, but will be able to receive responses to my comments again.
So if you want to do the same, here is how to fix that little issue.
First go to your blogger dashboard and click the little gear and select revert to Blogger profile.
Ignore the whole thing about how google+ will you allow you to connect better with your readers and click the orange button. I don't see how connecting better with my readers works, if no one can even reply to me when I comment on their blogs, or if they comment on mine and they are now noreply-comment. I think it may explain why my stats have dropped incredibly since I switched over to google+ profile. I mean who would want to visit someone they can't even reply to.
If it has been more that 30 days since you made the switch you will have to put in you name again.
Then it brings you back to your dashboard. Now this is the really important part. If it has been more that 30 days since you made the switch you have to reset your how profile. So click your name up at the top of the dashboard.
Now click blogger profile.
Click edit profile.
Now, type everything back in, including your email address. Here is the most important part to make sure you receive comments: Make sure Show My Email is clicked or you will still be a no reply comment when you make comments on blogs.
Oh and don't forget to save your profile.
To check to make sure you are no long a no reply blogger. Take a look at your blogger profile and make sure that it has the contact me section with a link to your email.
Hope that helps anyone one who like me became an no reply blogger and didn't even know it.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteI followed your instructions. Thanks you so much. I swear I wish they would just leave stuff alone UNLESS you CHOOSE to change it yourself. I don't like others making my decisions for me. :-(

ReplyDeleteThank you for all the trouble you've gone to, but I can't seem to fix this...when I attempt to revert it just circular loop spits me out again back at Google+. I have been forum hunting for an hour. Chronicles of Riddickulous, I tell you. /shameless laying of problems at your feet. Sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this! I was able to skip most of the steps, somehow, maybe because it's been updated like you said. Are you still getting replies? I clicked on "Use Old Blogger Interface" (it doesn't have, "Revert to Blogger Profile" anymore) and I clicked on "Edit Profile" and it took me to my profile page where I could click on "Show My Email Address." Easy!
ReplyDeletejust trying!

ReplyDeleteThanks - like you, I have been a reply blogger, but that must have switched when I went to google plus, like a long time ago! Booo! And I didn't even like google plus because the profile page was confusing and then I had to use my full name too. Thanks to you I switched it back and am so happy :)
ReplyDeleteBrie @ Breezy Pink Daisies

This happened to me. One of my followers let me know. I changed the setting, relinked to Google, and everything was good. I was a reply blogger again. I started to receive replies to comments again. And then.......someone told me I wasn't a reply blogger again. WHAT THE HECK, GOOGLE!!!!! DO YOU JUST CHANGE MY SETTINGS AT WILL??
ReplyDeletemine keeps changing back too!
DeleteJennifer, thanks for your post, I will link to it in my tomorrow post at www.quiltingthetownred.blogspot.com. I had the same issue, and decided it would be better not to link to Google+, as linking again to Google+ meant being a no-reply blogger again...
ReplyDeleteSo, back to blogger profile, and thanks for all your great work!!!
So does that mean I have to cancel google plus to fix this problem. I guess I was scared to do this in case I lost everything. marlaruthnelson@gmail.com
DeleteThank you for the help tuturial, but I'm still being shown as a noreply blogger.
ReplyDeleteWhat do I do now ! can anyone help ??
I'm here because Debbie (of Just Breathe) says she can't reply to my comments. Howveer, my blog isn't linked to Google Plus. Any idea if there are other ways that would happen?
ReplyDeleteI have been havinf trouble getting the norely blogger off. As soon as I click my blogger profile it takes me right to mu google plus so there is no orange button to push. Any idea. marlaruthnelson@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for noticing this on my blog and giving me a solution, Jenn. Works a treat now.

Seriously. Why the frig do google keep changing things! I must have followed your tute about 5 times over the last 6 months. Why google, why?! I never change a damn thing and all of a sudden I go back to being a no reply. It's most annoying. Anyway, thank you for saving a small piece of my sanity.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU SO MUCH! Not sure why Google doesn't have this in the new Blogger. Very sad :(
ReplyDeleteAm I a no-reply blogger? please reply! moonofsilver@gmail.com

Thank you for posting this. I was clueless on how to change back to Blogger Profile.
ReplyDeleteI almost SMASHED my computer I was SOOOO frustrated...then I found your post! THANK YOU!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I was thinking of changing and now I won't. Now if someone could just figure out how to make Blogger blogs...DoFollow...that would be wonderful! I know my old blog on Blogger was set on DoFollow but that was two years ago and I have a new designer and now my new blog was started after all of the Blogger updates!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for this post!
YAYAYAY!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post!! I would have NEVER discovered this and have always wondered what I was doing incorrectly!! You made my night and thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post!! I am a blogger on self hosted Wordpress. I just learned about being a no-reply blogger and I'm so confused. My blog has a comment form. I had no idea that Bloggers couldn't email me or get back in touch with me. I still comment through my Google Plus account. You mentioned that Google plus is now letting you show your email. How did you make that happen? I can't find anything on Google Plus that allows to me to make that an option.
ReplyDeleteSo if I do this, do I have to stay in this or can I switch back to the other blogger? If I do switch back does it save what I did?
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I have been to like 5 different sites to get help on how to change my settings and FINALLY found yours and it worked like a charm!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of thank-yous. I wish I could have my G+ profile and not be a no-reply blogger, but I'd rather get replies than link up with my G+ profile! Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteYou are the BEST!!!! Thanks so much for this tutorial! I only recently found out that I was coming up as NO REPLY!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! I shared the link on my Blog Baby Blog page. I love being able to reply directly to others through e-mail!

A very big THANK YOU! I did not realize I changed to a no-reply blogger until one of the ladies I usually chat with informed me. I finally found your instructions and have reverted back. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I come back to this post time and time again because blogger keeps changing me back (argh!!) to no reply, and because I don't remember what to do!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your help in this. It has been invaluable :D
This happened to me recently, one day I was a no reply blogger. I saw the option to go back, but it has been way longer than 30 days and I was afraid that if I did it the old blog would be gone. When you reregistered it all, was your old blog still there? Or did you have to start over? Thanks for any help you can give me. quiltinjeanie@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I did not realize that this was happening until I recieved a comment on one of my posts. This is so helpful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this, I hope it worked now!
