Happy Happy b-day to me... Happy Happy b-day to me!
And a happy happy un-birthday to you! Unless of course you share my b-day with me, then happy b-day to you too.
It is one of those big b-days for me, but since I am a lady I don't have to tell anyone my age. :) However, I wanted to share my b-day happiness with you all so I am having a little b-day celebration!
Since I have been talking about the square in a square ruler and technique, and since I just got the newest version of the ruler; I thought I would give away the one of my 3 square in a square rulers and the technique book that goes with it. I mean who really need 3 of the same ruler. So I thought I would share.
Giveaway is Closed
Here are some examples of what I have made with my square in square rulers:
My mom made this quilt using her ruler:
I think it is a pretty easy ruler to use and you can really easily make squares inside squares, flying geese, half-square triangles and so forth by using squares and strips. Which make the whole process go a lot faster and the likelihood for accuracy is much greater. I really hate drawing those lines or connecting corner to corner and then trimming and hoping you did it right. Plus I really prefer to chain piece and this method works great for that. By the way no one is paying me to say good things about this method I just enjoy it.
If you win this giveaway you can pick which one you like best:
The larger ruler and the technique book that came with it
or
The mini ruler and the technique book that came with it
Yes, Yes, I know, the rulers are a bit older versions, but if you ever wanted to try this method it is better than paying almost 30 dollars for the brand new one.
So how do you enter to win:
You have a chance for four entries:
1. Leave comment with if this is your birthday too or if you are celebrating your happy un-birthday today or any other comment you would like to make.
2. Follow if you would like to (I won't make you, but you will get a second entry for doing so, or because you are one of my current followers, just tell me and make sure you have pressed that cute follower button at some point)
3. Share the giveaway and tell me how you did (blog, twitter, facebook, email, tell you best quilty friend)
4. Tell me your favorite color or fabric designer (b-day sometimes include surprises you know)
Please make sure I have a way to contact you, either through your profile or tell me an email address, If I can't easily contact you I will have to pick again.
Since this a b-day giveaway the chance to participate will only be on my b-day - June 22. It will start at 12:01am PST and end at Midnight PST. I will pick a winner the next day using the Random.org - integer generator.

ReplyDeleteFor years my favorite color was blue and I thought that was something that would never change. Any shade of blue I have a huge stash of blue! Ya know what about a year ago that changed! How did that happen I have never really liked pink, but now all I seem to want is the bright bold pinks, you know the ones, not the pale pastel pinks but, the in your face pinks. The DH is so not into this change....wonder why...I thought the hot pink overnight bag looked great on the back of his black Harley...He made me repack!! Men!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Un-Birthday song in Alice in Wonderland, but I do wish you a very Happy Birthday. Can a quilter have too many rulers? No. Thanks for the giveawy.
