Orange and Blue Quilt

Do you see what I see? Yes, that is right another finished quilt.

Orange and Blue Quilt Folded

This is my Orange and Blue Quilt. It is a commissioned quilt for a local sewing machine / fabric shop. It was so much fun to make. I was able to pick out the fabrics from the shop, add a bit of my own, and make this darling quilt. The quilt will go live at the quilt shop for a bit and then it will get to come back home to me.

Orange and Blue Quilt Finished 2

The quilt is from Simplify with Camille Roskelley: Quilts for the Modern Home. The pattern is called square one.

Orange and Blue Quilt Finished Close up

The pattern calls for a honey bun and a charm pack, but I cut my own 1 1/2 inch strips and 5 inch squares. After cutting the fabric it was super quick to go together. This is the second quilt I have made from this book and they were both super easy and turned out very lovey. The next pattern I plan on making from this book I am going to actually use a charm pack for, instead of cutting my own 5 inch squares.

Back of the Orange and blue Quilt

I really like how I pieced this back together. Kind of different, but I like how it has the orange and blue from the front. The flours in the center look better in real life. and the orange and blue are the same print in different colors and actually have a really cool print on them.
