Work in Progress #30

I can't believe I have been checking in for 30 weeks now. That is just amazing! Plus on my thirty check in I also have a completion. How fun is that! Oh and I am getting back into the swing of things. I am starting to be able to work and quilt again.

*Side note - took my sewing machine after last weeks little mishap and she couldn't find anything wrong with it. I tried sewing last night and every thing week smooth. Strange!

* Additional side note added at 5:50 pm I just got my first feature on another site and I am smiling like no tomorrow. Thanks Mandy! You definitively filled my bucket today..

Scrap-bee block -

Scrap-bee block september

Here is a close up of the little tree.

Tree up close

Tree from scrap bee block. I adore this. It was my first time doing applique like this and I adore the way it turned out. I free hand cut the tree truck from a charm square ad then cut four ovalish shapes and put them together to look like a tree. I think it just turned out so cute! I know my FMQ is all squiggly but that was what I was going for.  I think it will look really fun when it is all quilted together and it washes with the raw edges.

Nearly Completed Projects:
Blue and Orange Commissioned Quilt - Been free motion quilting. Boy if you don't practice often you really do lose your timing on it. I am only about 1/3 of the way done. Oh haul (see above).
