Work in progress #36

Well, the only thing I have to celebrate this week is a whole bunch of finished and mailed bee blocks.

3x6 bee blocks

I am completely caught up with all my bee obligations and I just finished one of my bees. Another one only has one month left and then I signed up for the next round. Of the 4x5 modern bee.

On other note, instead of thinking, "oh look I finished a whole project. I might be able to finish some more projects before starting another project."

I thought to myself "Oh wow! I love these colors and I love this block. They look just like my husband's favorite colors. I will make him a quilt. Of course I don't have enough greens or grays, so I have started collecting and sorting fabric to make this block into a quilt.

That makes my total WIPs/UFOs a whole bunch that I am not even will to admit right now. If I did, then I might have to admit I have a problem. And if admit I have a problem, I might have to see someone about my starting new projects addiction. And the fact of the matter is, I am just not willing to do that.

Oh yeah and I signed up for

  1. Well, I can see why you would want to make a quilt of that block. It's beautiful. And the colours are great. It's hard to make a 'manly' quilt so when you get one going, I say run with it! Yes, I'm an enabler :-)

  5. I love the design you picked for your bee blocks - it looks great how it is offcenter. It's always fun seeing these bees where you make the same block in lots of different color schemes, lots of inspiration :)
