A great beginning to spring break!

Today was officially my first day of spring break. Well not really. It is furlough day, but it is was still the first day I am at home. It was nice to sleep in. It was nice to wake up and the sun was actually out. It was nice to do things on my own time schedule. And is was great to get back into my sewing room. It had been way too long.

I had one goal today. It was to get my carnival blocks sewn together.

And I did it! I even was done in time to go visit Katie at Sew Katie Jean and get my borders, backing and batting.

I even made the top into a quilt sandwich.

Now I just have to quilt the whole thing together. I may even pull a finish out on the last day of the month.

However, first I have to pick up my sewing room. Even though I hadn't been in there in a bit, it seemed to get very messy. That could have something to do with me closing the door and pretending the mess wasn't there :)
