I don't know about all of you, but I think my biggest finish this week was Thanksgiving dinner.
Of course we had turkey
But there was also lots more like bread
and cranberry sauce
and pumpkin cheesecake
and a whole bunch more that I forgot to get pictures of. Basically, I looked back at the spread being the second to last one to get my plate and thought. Huh it would have been nice to take pictures. Oh wells!
As for sewing finishes I did finish a Christmas Stocking
I am really proud of the back details on this stocking. I did some free motion snowflakes. I traced them and they quilted it. I kept telling myself, snowflakes are all different so it is ok if they aren't perfect.
This will go to Hopeful Threads Stocking Drive for children's hospitals.
Ok now, I am going to be linking up to lots of places: Link A Finish Friday, finish it up Friday, Thank Goodness It’s Finished Friday, and Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
I am going to go back into my sewing room in just a few so that I can make the most out of the last 2 days of my Thanksgiving break. Then one more month of work until my winter break.
Oh and just to let you know I am writing my 300 + followers giveaway post right now. So check back in a bit to see what I am giving away :)
*Update the giveaway is now up!

LOVE the snowflakes. :D They look terrific. And I'll agree - the biggest finish of the week was Thanksgiving Feast! I was so thrilled that the turkey turned out good - the oven in this new-to-us house quirks up about 1 out of 8 times, and it behaved beautifully for Thanksgiving. :D
ReplyDeleteYour feast looks wonderful. We have a big Christmas feast so I don't think it would be a good idea for me to adopt Thanksgiving. I do love pumpkin desserts though. I think your free motion snowflakes look perfect and are a nice finishing touch. Great stocking.
ReplyDeleteLinked over from Richard and Tanya's. Love your stocking, and I think the quilted snowflakes are great! That pumpkin cheesecake looks good, too, and you could post the recipe if you wanted to. (hint, hint)
ReplyDeleteYour quilted snowflakes look wonderful, well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! All of it! :) Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteLove the stocking (and the cheesecake!). Only my oldest daughter has a stocking, so now that the youngest is 2 and we are expecting #3 I think it's about time I make some coordinating stocking for my family!
ReplyDeleteAll of your food looks so good! I completely forgot about cranberries this year had my husband run to the store and get some that morning. Oh well, although in a can they were still yummy. hehe Those rolls are making me hungry just looking at them.
ReplyDeleteThe snowflakes on your adorable stocking look wonderful! You will be making a child very happy with your donation. :)
