I had a very productive week off so far. Other than getting ready for thanksgiving I was able to spend some time in my sewing room. I cleaned out half of my sewing room. The other half will get picked up once I am done cutting some projects.
I have finish my 4x5 bee blocks, which will hopefully go in the mail today.
I also made my bubble block for the Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild.
And I started a Christmas stocking using Merry by Thimble Blossoms as the pattern (that I won from Hopeful Threads when I agreed to make one for her cause). OK so I switched it up a bit and quilted as you go for the front, but it is still her stocking shape and it is almost done :) I just have to sew the front and back together and add the cuff.

I have never made a garment by myself before. Sure I have helped my mom many a times as a kid and a teen, I even helped when my mom came up to help my neice make her halloween costume. However, never by myself with out someone to go over the pattern with me. So this is going to be interesting. Luckily at Sew Sweetness she is having lots of other people share tips along the way. I already have the pattern and have printed the pieces. I am going to order my fabric soon, but since this is my first garment I am going to make a muslin.
