Work in Progress Week #23

I know I am bit late but I have a great reason. I finished a top.

Nearly Completed Projects:
Blue and Orange Commissioned Quilt. It is officially it is a top.

Blue and Orange Commissed quilt top

This is based on one of the patterns from

The pattern is called Square One. I was going to do all in the family, but I changed my mind. I can't believe I have done two patterns from this book already. I also have all the fabric to do another one of the quilts in this book. I just adore the patterns.

My Garage is nearly clean too. Still haven't gone through the pile of books. That is my plan for tonight.

Books and other teaching stuff

New Projects:
July bee projects. Haven't started them but the fabric is here.

Oh and I joined the 4 x 5 modern quilting bee and I have been playing with fabric for that.

Ongoing Projects:

Embroidery 101 Quilt Along -  All 9 blocks are done. Again with the wrinkle bed, just pretend you don't see it. Two blocks even have the embroidery done. I am all caught up with this Quilt Along. So I am just waiting for the next block.

Embroidery 101 work so far

Kaleidoscopic quilt along - Cut all the fabric. I had hoped to sew the blocks together or at least the kites before today, but I forgot that I had training this week. Boo for training.

I didn't do anything with these:

  1. Love the quilt! I wish I was "nearly finished" with something. Oh, and they have posted the 3rd block for Embroidery 101 so we both have to get cracking on that one! Good luck with the bee!

  2. I see a lot of quilt-a-longs this year, and I don't know how everyone keeps up with it all. They can be a good help--until they get in the way. Bravo to you for keeping the delicate balance.

I enjoyed looking at all your projects (and fabrics). I just did a little real life fabric shopping today and now am kicking myself for not getting one of ones I saw on your blog!

Lastly--that quilt you finished is lovely. You should be so proud of yourself!

  7. I love that blue and orange quilt, the colors together are wonderful. I also have that book and made the little man top, but in chocolate and pink colors. You have so many projects your working on! I may have to join a quilt a long for some inspiration.
