Welcome to my little spot on the web, where I talk about my sometime creative life, which mostly involves quilting. So glad you could hop your way on over here. It is so fun to join in on celebrations.
If you have been hopping along then you know that this little giveaway is to celebrate Quilter's Fun fourth b-day. Of course the best part about today is that it is my unbirthday! :)
To celebrate my unbirthday... just kidding... , I mean blog hop party.. well sorta.
Anyhow, I am so excited to join in on the hop and I am giving away this mere, somewhat uninteresting looking charm pack.
That is until you open it up and see an explosion of color! 43 colors to be exact.
43 5 inch squares bright kona fabric colors! That is over 1/2 a yard. And how do I know that, it says on the back 0.625 and I spent my day teaching my fourth grade students about decimals, so I am very in touch with my decimal knowledge right now :)
Now "what could you do with these?" you ask. Well, I used just two of the little squares and a bit of kona charcoal, to make this lovely rug mug.
I am also in the process of finishing up this little lovely. It will be for my puppy some day.
I know you may think that a quilt for a puppy seems a little over the top, but you just haven't met her or her brother yet.
This is Suzie and Gus and they are spoiled to the extreme. Plus right now they have to share this little blue place. So of course I have to make her something pretty.
I hope you take a few moments to look around and check out what I been up to, or to find out a bit more about me. However, since I know you are hopping around, and are visiting lots of folks, I will give you a quick tour so you don't have to go searching...
I have created a few lovely quilts. Look at my finished quilts page for even more.
And I have a whole bunch more in progress, and there are more projects they just haven't been pictured yet.
Now for the best part: How to win.
Just leave a comment, any old comment will do.
If you want a second entry, you can follow me on any of your favorite blog readers (there is 3 of them to the side) and leave an additional comment telling me you did.
The giveaway will end on December 17, 2011. I have a Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild Meeting that day, so the giveaway will end in the evening. Happy unbirthday to all of you, except those who's birthday it is, like quilters fun, then happy b-day to you. Don't forget to follow the link back to keep on blog hopping.
Oh nos I forgot to mention this and I have had at least 3 no reply bloggers without anyway to contact them. Look on the side bar under the how to make yourself a non-no reply blogger. If I can't contact you, how will you ever know you won?

Oh PS This has nothing to do with the giveaway, but I would love it if you would vote for my donors choose project over here: http://www.oo.com/safkids/detail/projectid/662879 you do have to sign up for the site, but it is free and it just takes a click. Thanks! Also if you want to you can donate to my projects over here, http://www.donorschoose.org/jennifer.kramer with the key word SPARK, it doubles any donation. Sorry for shameless plugging my projects for my 4th grade classroom.
My daughter is in 4th grade this year. We are feeling the effects of the drama she put us through learning her multiplication facts (or rather, not learning them!).

ReplyDeleteI just love your puppies. Are you going to put anything special (like egg crate foam) between the layers of their quilts? That's what I did for my Airedales (airheads). I had to double stitch everything as they have the routine of raking up their beds before they lay down and that is really hard on the stitches. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet giveaway :D
ReplyDeletelove the dogs

ReplyDeleteThank you for being a teacher. I have great respect and love for teachers. Especially in these troubled times of decreasing financial, legislative and parental support. Thank you for caring enough to teach. I was so excited, my granddaughter came to scrounge through my scraps, her algebra class is making a quilt, using algebra to get the shapes and measurements. Great way to learn math concepts.
ReplyDeleteI've never sewn with solids. This would be my first time.
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done with the charm squares. Thanks for the great giveaway. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI am now a follower. Hugs

ReplyDeleteWow!! Those are some amazing colors indeed!
ReplyDeleteI know the signs of a passionate quilter when I see one and I have met another one here! Your quilts are all quite lovely! You will have to check out my blog to see what I did with the exact charm package you are offering! I received a packet from the Charlotte Modern Quilt Guild for the Robert Kauffman Kona solid challenge. I saw some other amazing quilts made by others in our group! If I should be the fortunate winner I know exactly what quilt I would make with it - a confetti quilt.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous dogs. Spoilt??? No never.
ReplyDeleteLovely colours there.
Another happy Christmas from Australia.
Follower here.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dogs! I don't think there is such a thing as a spoiled dog.
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are beautiful! My daughter and son-in-law have a German shepherd. She is about six years old and suffers from some type of allergy or skin condition. She is constantly scratching herself and nipping at her skin. Bless her heart. Because her skin is irritated, it's overly oily. Poor dog smells awful, even after a bath.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I am also named Jennifer, and have a very spoiled dog (a papillon). No quilt on the ground gets ignored, which makes basting an interesting experience sometimes!
ReplyDeleteFollow GFC.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to add that I am also your newest follower! :)
ReplyDeleteCool solids and great inspiration on how to use them! Love the puppy dogs!

This would be great for my hexie quilt. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThese fabrics are so bright and user friendly, I hope I win but, good luck to all others entering.
ReplyDeleteForget the fabric, send me the dogs. :^) I have a Belgian shepherd mix, 3/4 Belgian, 1/4 border collie; he looks like a big black wolf. I love him to pieces, and I would certainly make him his very own quilt, if he would use it. He has a super-thick double coat - he has a big black mane like a lion, I kid you not - so won't use any kind of pillow or quilt or blanket. He gets too hot. So, If I'm making a dog quilt, I need a dog to put on the quilt. Even one of those lovely shepherds will do nicely.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, the fabric is adorable too. I have a baby quilt on my "to do" list this year for a niece expecting her first baby. The charms would be perfect for it.
