It's my b-day and I didn't accomplish much, but it doesn't matter because I am doing a giveaway to celebrate my b-day! So if you found your way over from Lee's Freshly Pieced Blog and you didn't know about the whole b-day thing check out my previous post "It's my birthday! giveaway" and enter if you like what you could get.
Ok enough shameful advertising for my own giveaway and about my b-day. So, on to why you are here. To see what others are up to in the quilty world.
Since Monday I have been in really fun professional development. I know you are thinking fun professional development for teachers. No way. However, it is true.
Completed Projects:
My three blocks for a twist on tradition bee for quilty as charged
New Projects:
Was good and still haven't added on.
Ongoing Projects:
Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild's Kona Challenge - Hopefully it will grow on me. I don't love the placement, but I don't want to be very friendly with my seam ripper. So it is going to stay the way it is. I think. Luckily all I need to do is make it into a place for my dog and hope she likes it.
Prairie Claw Block - This is the class I took with my mom using the square in a square ruler.
Orange/blue commissioned quilt. Finished cutting all the fabric. Didn't have time to take a new picture sorry.
Embroidery 101 Quilt Along - Cut fabric, messed up, ordered more fabric tonight. Decided to get the backing too. In a funny note, I also happened to win the giveaway from the sewlux fabric. If you read my blog remember how happy I was with the packaging from this company.
Completed tops awaiting quilting:
You would think I could get to these already. I think I may be getting to these really soon as I signed up for a long-arm quilting class at a local quilt store. That was my b-day present from my husband :) what a kind loving husband I have.
Loves Road
I didn't do anything with these:
Doll Quilt for the Sacramento Modern Quilt Guild Challenge. Still to finishing binding it. I made a silly mistake in binding it and I just haven't fixed it yet, it really would only take me 5 minutes to finish. Ok maybe ten!
We were supposed to do a log cabin this week. I just didn't get around to it.
UFOs -
Scrappy Bear
Halloween Quilt
Christmas Hexagon table runner and pillows.
This week's stats:
New projects: 0
Completed projects : 1
Currently in progress - 12
